Discover the 7 final projects of the Edition 2018
DiscoverFor its first edition, the Impact Trophy gathered 6 leading companies in the Belgium landscape! AXA Belgium, BMS, bpost Bank, CISCO, Davidson Consulting and IPG Mediabrands sent 1 or 2 teams of 10 innovation champions to experiment during 3 days a cross-corporate hackathon dedicated to solve one of the Sustainable Development Goals. Amongst a list of more than 45 local NonProfit Organisations (NPO), each company has selected one social organisation to support. During 3 days, 10 of their employees used their creativity and energy to solve a specific challenge of their selected NPO and help them to realize their dream !
All selected social innovators are working hard to make this world a better place for all. To get a better view of the challenges they are trying to solve, we organized their activity according to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) developed by the United Nations. The SDG’s that will be tackled during the Impact Trophy are the following ones :
3 days of intensive team work and learning
Teams work together with the help of their mentor to get a deep understanding of the problem they need to solve and identify the targeted users. They start to ideate around first solutions to address the problem.
Teams test and validate their assumptions with real customers and start to develop their prototype. Experts-on-demand are available to solve specific challenges or questions they might have during the day.
Teams prepare their final pitch to present their solutions. A panel of judges working in the area evaluates the projects, based on their viability, feasibility, desirability and potential impact.
