Welcome!

For its first edition, the Impact Trophy gathered 6 leading companies in the Belgium landscape! AXA Belgium, BMS, bpost Bank, CISCO, Davidson Consulting and IPG Mediabrands sent 1 or 2 teams of 10 innovation champions to experiment during 3 days a cross-corporate hackathon dedicated to solve one of the Sustainable Development Goals. Amongst a list of more than 45 local NonProfit Organisations (NPO), each company has selected one social organisation to support. During 3 days, 10 of their employees used their creativity and energy to solve a specific challenge of their selected NPO and help them to realize their dream !

Thematics

All selected NonProfit Organisations are working hard to make this world a better place for all. To get a better view of the societal challenges they are trying to solve, we organized their activity according to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) developed by the United Nations. The SDG’s that will be tackled during the Impact Trophy 2018 are the following ones :

What is the Impact Trophy ?

The Impact Trophy is a cross-corporate innovation race where each corporate team will have 3 days to solve a real social challenge faced by a nonprofit organisation.

Planning

09:00 Doors open & registration: Enter via the main entrance & get your Welcome Pack!
09:30 Welcome & Speakers: Review agenda for the weekend and introduce speakers, coaches, and community leaders. Explanation of the evaluation criterias, the rules of the game and the final objective. Intervention of an inspiring speaker.
10:15 Energyzer & spotting: Quick visit of the location and team energyzer
10:45 DISCOVER: Discover your team mates, how they work and who they are. Align on objectives, way of working and rules
12:30 Lunch
13:30 DISCOVER: Reframe your problem, identify causes and sub-problems
15:30 DISCOVER: Identify your user, understand his pains and gains
17:30 Check-out: Round table to collect feedback and define priorities for the next days
18:00 closing: end of the day
09:00 Breakfast: Doors open, breakfast & coffee
09:30 DESIGN: Ideate and unlock your creativity to generate as many ideas as possible
12:30 Lunch
13:30 DESIGN: Validate your assumptions (with experts and users). Prioritize your ideas and select the best one
15:30 DEFINE: Refine your idea. Structure your solution and dig into it (BMC)
17:30 Check-out: Round table to collect feedback and define priorities for the next day
18:00 closing: end of the day
09:00 Breakfast: Doors open, breakfast & coffee
09:30 DEVELOP: Build your prototype
12:30 Lunch
13:30 DEVELOP: PITCH: prepare your selling pitch
15:00 Technical Rehearsal: Each team can rehearse his presentation in front of a small jury and get feedbacks to improve
16:00 Stop Working: Hand in your final presentation and enjoy a well deserved appetizer
16:30 TIME TO PITCH: You have 10 minutes to show your work and convince the jury members!
18:00 Speaker + deliberation: Listen to an inspirational speech and relax while judges are deliberating
19:00 Judging & Awards: Distribution of rewards and podium + picture time
19:30 Reception: Walking Dinner & Networking
21:00 CLOSING: Go home, exhausted but inspired!

Rewards

The winner of the competition will have the chance to offer the value of 1 coaching session (1.250 €) to their selected NGO. On top of that, each NonProfit Organisation will receive a donation from Impact Valley of 100 € per registered team.
