Our team is very sensitive to challenges addressing sustainability. Le Champignon de Bruxelles is proposing a dream that is perfectly aligned with a vision that we share: the one of Ellen MacArthur foundation. Her “Cities and the Circular Economy for Food” report is explaining how we can all together mobilise new approaches to accelerate the transition to a circular economy for food in cities and urban environments. Le Champignon de Bruxelles is using the typical Belgian process of brewery and is physically close to us. We hope we can start addressing this dream and come out of the Impact Trophy hackathon with a series of new projects we’ll be able to act on during our Give Back weeks with all Cisco Belgium employees. This could be a recipe for success to be shared anywhere in Belgium and elsewhere.
Notre rêve est de recycler tout type de déchet organique pour produire de la nourriture saine dans les espaces vacants de nos villes afin de reconnecter les citoyen.e.s à leurs assiettes. Depuis plusieurs années, nous développons la production de champignons exotiques sur drèche, le résidu de brassage de la bière. Depuis quelques mois, nous produisons des micropousses tout en leur faisant bénéficier de la chaleur et du CO2 émanant de notre production de champignons. Demain, nous souhaitons l'agrandissement de la coopérative et la diversification de notre production alimentaire circulaire.
